After a trip to the registry office with just close family and friends, we can’t wait to celebrate with you all at the beautiful open air museum “Markus Wasmeier Freilichtmuseum”!
We’re also planning a casual lunch by the lake for the bridal party. Everyone else is welcome to join - more info here!

  • Where?

    The open air museum is located in Schliersee-Neuhaus, just south of the lake.

    It is a five minute walk from the train station Fischhausen-Neuhaus (direct trains to and from Munich) - just cross the main road.
    There is also ample parking availabe, which is free of charge for our guests. There is a foot path from the parking area to the museum.

    There will be a free taxi shuttle from midnight on the night of our celebration, to safely get you back to where you’re staying. You’re welcome to leave your car on the museum parking lot over night. f you need help with transport during the day, please get in touch.

  • Hungry?

    Yes, there will be food! So much food! After nibbles with the reception drinks there will be a 3-course-meal and a midnight snack. Please let us know your meal choices and any allergies or dietary requirements through our RSVP form!

  • Good to know

    The museum area is hilly, the paths are gravelled and a bit uneven - you won’t need hiking boots, but maybe don’t go with stilettos either…

    Your children are welcome! The museum is a great (and safe) place to roam and explore, and we can have a quiet room set up for naps in the evening if required. Let us know!

    Please note that there is a strict smoking ban in the entire museum before 5pm - this includes the outside areas. After five smoking is allowed in designated areas.

    Since we’re celebrating between beautiful nature and very old wooden buildings, please note that any kind of open fire (like sparklers, table fireworks, …), as well as confetti, rice etc, are prohibited. The only exception to this is flower pedals (outside only).
